How to Localize Atlas
Atlas can be localized so that the UI “speaks” another language besides English.
Step 1 – Create Language File
Navigate to where you have installed Atlas (web server) and find the “languages” folder:
Open up the “languages” folder and create a language folder that corresponds to the locale you wish to implement. For example, “fr-FR” for French. Copy over the “resource.xml” from the “en-US” folder and place it into the new language folder you created:
Now simply open the “resource.xml” file in any file editor and translate the contents between the XML tags:
Step 2 – Activate Language File
Once the language file has been prepared, log into Atlas and click on the settings icon top right. Under the General section just change the Default Language entry to reflect your new locale:
Re-start the Atlas web application (via IIS).
